Found this in a field we were relic hunting a couple years ago. I know little about indian artifacts, it looks like a huge spear point with the very tip broken off.We did find arrow head points in same field but I think this might be older then that, Dont know what do you guys think? Preforms to a tool possibly. You might give the guys in North American Artifacts a shot at it. They love a good what is it. Nice finds. I would hunt that field often.

Nice find !! For what its worth,

NICE!!! A fellow I knew found a field with stone arrow points & he hunted it every spring & after hard rains... He also took the location with him to his grave!!!!!

I'll go along with Tnmountians it is to large for a spear point, more than likely a preform brought in from the rock source. Preforms were spauled out to a rough shape for transportation, and were a type of trade item. It can tell you a lot about their trade routes. It is a very cool find:thumbsup:

Nice artifact find and very interesting that it could be an unfinished preform. I like it.
