It's really not that hard, when you find one of these.

I'd like to point out something on the 2nd pic.
Notice? The smallness of the plug? AND, most of all, the pinpointing that was done? (so proud of myself! LOL )

Pretty fun day today.

Ya know, I must confess. Even though I'd seen the term Toonie tossed out here a couple times,
I actually didn't know that Canada had a 2 dollar coin! LOL :dontknow:

Also, I think I confused the heck outta Blingie today. With this find:

Poor thing! He doesn't know if I brought him something to wear or to eat! ;) LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

That does look like a fun day! You did swell! :icon_thumright:

With one single hole you dug more spendable change than I've dug in several years. I guess you don't get much battery money relic hunting these days

Yeah if you do green space hunting in Canada we find a fair amount of $1 and $2 dollar coins.....it's not what I'm looking for but it pays for some batteries and coffee money.....I prefer gold, silver, button, relics, etc.....but heh I dig whatever is under the coil.

Nice collection of great finds! Way to go! H Digs!

Ya know, there was something else that impressed me today. The way my AT-Pro was able to separate this Toonie from all the other trash right in the same area. Picked it right out from between a bunch of garbage! :)

WHADIFIND,

A buddy of mine who I've done some joint hunts with.....uses the AT Pro and he's been digging quite a few iffy signals lately and has had some luck finding old silver with that approach....lots of rusted nails, etc,,,,,but every once in awhile a keeper for his troubles.

Nice finds, your a pinpointing son of a gun!

Congrats on your finds and being such a neat plugger! We will have to get you an award for that! You may have to use that change you found to buy Tums for Blingie if he eats that! He's already got his advantage point of attack, one quick flick of his tongue and that bug ring is dinner!

That's a pretty cool coin, looks like a good day to me. You always manage to make an ok day look real good, I complain too much w my finds, I need to lower the bar a little and not put pressure on myself to make the "killer find" and Itll just happen, lol

Interesting finds!

You sure spoil Blingie every time you guys go out!! Great finds and story, as usual. Just curious, what does a Toonie show for numbers on our ATP?, their quarters show as penny signal, and most of their pennies show closer to a dime signal

Nice once I found 3 toonies 2dimes and 2pennys in a spill.
They're common here though.
Good hunting :)

cjon455.... I do exactly the same thing and I need to lower the bar also myself. I review all these posts here on TN and I get myself all geeked up. I grab the MD and head out but then I'm back shortly. It's just so hard to dig in this Tennessee soil. And you DO NOT pull out a plug.

And neat find WHADIFIND!!!!!

I wondered many times, on the way to Gatlinburg, seeing road construction, " How in the hell do they dig, its not even dirt!"

Oh I don't know about spoiling him. He tends to take what he wants, that's all. ;)

The Toonie gave me a strange signal that stood out from all the other strange signals in that spot. I couldn't put a finger on it until I air tested it here. It rang in at a pretty solid 80 but, it has a blip sort of sound on the end. Hard to describe. It's a high pitched blip. Probably due to this being two coins in one. Probably fools the AT a bit, I don't think Mr.Garrett had figured on people making two coins in one. LOL

Thanks!

Thanks Whadifind, I think your right about the two different metals in one coin. I am a stones throw across the river from Canada, so their coins are as common for me to find as ours, just never found a Toonie! or a Loonie for that matter. But some days this hobby can make you Loonie Toonie..........HaHa HH

Well, not so much lower the bar but rather learn to accept a bit more at what you've been given. After all, even if you don't find, this time, you are outside, doing what? Could be worse I'm guessing. ;)

You and Limitool point out why I post what I do.

That's part of the reason I'm posting the small stuff. To point out that one doesn't HAVE to turn up Blackbeard's chest just to be enjoying and even bragging a bit on the stuff they do find. I like to think that the stuff I find is more indicative of what this hobby is all about. I've said in the past that this site can be very intimidating. We see ALL THOSE WONDERFUL TREASURES! AND, they are found seemingly EVERY DAY! Kinda makes us peons feel a bit lacking sometimes, eh? ;)

This is not a sprint. Finds like those in the banner ARE found every day. But, not by every person and certainly not by the same person all the time. Put in the time and research, they'll come. In the meantime, ENJOY YOURSELF! Share the stories and the near misses. When the big ones come, you'll not be disappointed.

Stay the course and remember the "happy" in HH isn't just a word. ;)
