Spanish War Veteran Medals & Copper

Had to detect today and it was a High Tide Day.
Searched in coarse gravel at the base of seawalls at the mouth of the river.
Brought home a drilled 1937 Half Penny, haha, looks 300 years old !
Then a 'United Spanish War Veterans' cross medal, Portorico, one word.
Phillipine Islands, Cuba, USA.
Also, another Spanish War Medal. 'National Auxilliary U S War Veterans'.
Both were found a the end of an old 'Public Way' to the river between properties ending at a 6 foot wall looking out at Portsmouth Harbor.
The Medals are shown as found, they are extremely delicate.
Great Day! Love finding this Stuff !! HH to All

Thanks for the replies!
Great example of the War Medal on your post Bramble,
Before this, I hadn't thought of the 'Spanish War' since High School.
Good old Teddy.
The 3 figures featured on all the medals is intriguing.
tells a story right there.

I really like these finds, And theorizing how they got where i found them.
They are soaking in freshwater to remove the salt, & will be stabilized & displayed ucleaned & as is. I feel fortunate to have found them in ID'able condition.
Good to hear from you! HH  Herbie.

How is that Etrac working out?
Hi Mike, The etrac is pulling out the finds!
Am usually running a combined coin/jewelery setting, though I think the jewelery is already covered by coin settings.
Great Machine, Great Deal!
If anyone is looking for a new Detector, Contact Mike '4H'
The Best!!
