Spanish Spearhead or Lance? Found in San Diego

I cleaned out my Mom's house and came across this metal object that she has had in her shed for decades. I remember her telling me that my Dad found it while digging a posthole in the mid 1960's in our backyard. The housing housing tract was built in San Diego, California in the early 1950's and there was probably some cut and fill grading work done as the pads were cut into a hill and fill pushed to the edge of the canyon. It was probably dug up in the fill portion. Anyway, I have no idea of what this is or how old. Can anyone help?
