Spanish Silver?

very nice silver not an expert on coins but it looks spanish to me

I think your going to need better pics. Whats the size of it? Can you make out any of the design?

I knew you would figure it out. You can smell a spanish a mile away. ::)

looks like a reales to me, between 1772 and 1821. Nice find

If its the size of a dime I think its a half reale!

Spanish silver for certain. If it is roughly the size of a dime and wafer thin then it is a half reale. A very nice find, and the dates above would be correct.

Yep "wafer thin" a la monty python and the meaning of life.

I had thoughts of that scene run through my head as I wrote that out. Good stuff, them crazy old brits sure had a sense of humor. :)

Should be some decent buttons somewhere close to those coins, both American and Canadian.

Any value to something this worn other than my first piece of spanish silver?

No more than a few dollars. Even if it was beautiful dug condition $40 would probably be the max. (and that is probably a little high)

here ya go, resized pic for ya, great find!

I don't think it's mint flavored.
But it sure looks like Spanish.
Nice no matter what it is!
