Spanish Silver Drought is OVER!!!

I was out for a couple hours this evening to a site that I have been detecting for all of my 12 years with a detector. I've pounded this site as have many others but it is a huge site and is plowed almost every year.

After wandering around for the first 90 minutes picking up odds and sods I got a nice 81 hit on the AT Pro. 81 is usually a semi-modern penny so I wasn't really hopeful digging the plug. After I opened the hole the 81 became a solid 84 and I knew it wasn't a penny...sure enough I could see a glint of silver and popped out a 1778 1 Reale!

I could not be happier...it's been a couple years since my last Spanish silver so this really made my day!

Better pics in the light of day...Date side is pretty smooth but enough detail where it counts!

Maybe many others, hunting that site, but I don't think I'm one of those ?

Anyway I'm glad you got a Spanish SILVER !
