Wow that is cool! I don't know anything about it but looks old. Post it on the Spanish Cob forum and I bet those folks can give some good info. :icon_thumleft:
 

Nice find, but it looks like a replica. The plating is wearing off. I found a replica coin a while back. :headbang:

I remember your first post and the blurry pictures :D these pictures are much better :thumbsup: I don't know much about Spanish Silver :-\ but someone said earlier it was a REPLICA :icon_scratch: these new pictures do show a Red hue, as if it has a Copper core, with a Silver plating :-\....hope I am wrong :)

In cases like that where you're not sure of the real metal underneath...just take some sandpaper (or use some other way of scratching the edge) and sand away the edge a bit, that way you can't even see it when you look at the coin. You'll easily see the copper if it's there underneath. Especially not much risk if there's high probability it's a replica. Would be awesome if it's real though!
