Wowzer! Navy Davy and I met up with Ryan and Jeff for an outing.
First stop netted me a large cent that was toasty to say the least. We left that spot after a half hour as not much was found here. Next spot Ryan pulls out a nice 1917 large cent along with an early Lizzy dime. Navy Davy who braved the deep furrows was rewarded with a silver thimble. Man walking here was hazardous to ones health as there was a few mighty deep holes here caused by the recent plowing.
Hitting the third spot was a different beast with tall grass and an incline. Lord love a duck this wanker struggled at this point. Was nice to be hunting for a few oldies instead of quota! Then Zen Guru (AT Pro International) let loose with a solid 72...out popped a 1728 one real. About 5 minutes later another solid signal at 85 and out popped a 1781 2 real. Luck of the swing not skill. My batteries ran out so back to the truck. Out goes the copper tops and in goes 4 Ever ready that for the first second gave me the full array of bars. Two steps later the Every ready became Never ready so I bugged ND for a fresh four pack.
Saw Jeff digging in earnest. What the halibut he was so deep that only the handle of his spade was above the hole. Have never witnesses a hole that low that gave up coin...a large copper.
Great day with fellow diggers with 3 of us hitting silver and not too mention everyone doing well! 4guys detecting1.jpg4guys detecting2.jpg

Awesome finds!
Spanish silver is always a winner…!
And a vote for banner, of which I see has been voted for already…!

That's pretty awesome! Big congratulations on amazing coins in top shape!

I like those coins! They are in much better shape than the few I have found. Of course, mine were far inland so got worn while the owner walked here from the coast. I therefore may never find one as nice as yours. A NS over NB advantage? Oh yes, come to think of it we have coast too, and a very prolific detectorist there.

Any find that gob smacks you into writing something with nearly no limerick is definitely a banner find IMO Leslie 😂

They are top notch finds so I’ve put in my upvote. Congratulations!

WTG Leslie, those are beautiful! Glad to hear all came home with some goodies!

Those are both extremely nice old silver coins. You got a very old one, and an old big one. Those are way better than any dirty penny quota.

Congrats on the beautiful Spanish silver. While the earlier dated coin is of course great, there is something a little more special and personal about that portrait piece, in my opinion. Both such great coins, and on one search no less. Congrats again!
