Spanish Shipwreck

No but I know there are a lot of civil war wrecks in that channel. There are a lot of spanish wrecks in Pensacola Bay

For what it's worth, Forum member 'MichaelB' knows quite a bit about the subject. Also, a little over a year ago there was a local news story about a group in Mobile that was attempting to arrest admiralty on a lucrative and publicly unspecified wreck in the same area. Haven't heard any updates on the matter since then.

Pcola is correct but that wreck is inside the bay and I assume you are referring to one outside the bay. There is a French wreck that Bienvielle mentions in his notes as being full and ready to sail and then catching fire. This wreck has been located but is completely covered by sand. Over the years I have seen many Spanish coins brought up by shrimpers that have wiped the surface clean.

You have to know where to look or have the right equipment to find her now days.
