I found a coin about 3 yrs ago under the football bleachers at our local High School here in southern Ohio. It is smaller than a dime... it is silver.... and dated 1810...It is very worn so I can not read all the writing on the back...... thusly I can not tell if it is a Spanish Reales or not..... I do not have macro on my camera.... but ill try to figure out something to post a pic.... if I do have a Reales... is it worth anything? It was amazing to me to find an 1810 coin around a school that was built in 1916 and under the football bleachers at that... everybody has detected there over the past 30 yrs and I still find this lil treasure.. have found a merc there n a siilver rosie as well....

Re: Spanish Reales Maybe...

A pic would help.

Try taking it with a dime so we can see a size comparison.

It could be a half dime.

it appears to be a half reale of some type. its hard to tell from the photo, but it sure does look like the spanish crest on the back. here is a cool site on colonial coins of all types, spanish, english, french and early american. pehaps you can id it there.
