can you explain a little more? I followed the link and the items displayed were in excellant shape but a diffrent color.

Different color? They both appear to be silver but yours appears to have been cleaned and polished. Is yours gold? You should post this coin on the Spanish Cobs Forum. They will tell you more about it.

Bicyclerider, posting this coin in the "Spanish Cob" section, where the experts can take a look at it, would help ascertain its authenticity. Is your cob silver? Has it been polished?

I recieved it as a gift so the way it is is all thats been done to it. The person that gave it to me was a Dr. that had dived in the south of florida as a team. I don't know how long its been out of the water. it is really shiney because of the flash from the camera. other than that is a off color gray and silver. its really thin.

You may have a very nice old Spanish coin. The cob forum will tell you more about it. ;D

I dont use a flash when taking pictures. I take the pic outside for natural color or use a halogen lamp indoors for detail.
