That is a painfull loss. :'(

That's a nice reale but an expert would have to look at it.

Common reales like that sell for anywhere from $40 to $100 on ebay. I bought a near perfect 4 reale cob dated early 1600's that was found on a Florida beach. I paid a dealer only $60 for it and like an idiot sold it on ebay for only about $125 (as I recall). Oh well, I guess we all do dumb things.

But for yours you need to find out if it's a rare type. Some can be worth BIG bucks.

Let me know if you ever want to sell.

Found a cob while visiting Williamsberg. Did about 3 hours of detecting and found 2 of them. But I lost one, LOL. Anyway here is a pic of mine. What is this worth about??

Ski..

How in the workd did you get to metal detect around williamsburg ,next time you go give me a holla would love to tag along .

Just looking at Everyone's treasures. Haven't seen a response I'd like to know the answer to the last question. How did you even get close to Williamsburg with a MDer? Are you not answering because your still in Federal prison ?

Oh sorry, LOL, no I'm not in prison. My friend down there owns alot of land, that is how I got to detect Williamsberg. I was on private property.

Good I'm glad you have connections. I live about an hour from Williamsburg and have been to that area more times than I can count. Years ago I did some work at William and Mary while they were doing renovation/additions and they wouldn't even let you stand and look too hard where ground had been dug. They take that s#|+ seriously. By the way, Thanks for keeping the bad guys in check.
