Ive been wanting to look for a new water site but I keep going back to this one and it has yet to let me down. Scored cob #8 this evening. A full weight Phillip V half real. Also got a really toasted milled silver. Pretty sure I saw a bust and a date of 179? on it before I ruined it trying to make it look better:BangHead: Have not found much stuff dated later than circa 1720 out there but Ill take it:laughing7: Also got a copper that resembles a Hibernia half penny but this one looks strange to me. Appears to have a right facing bust on the other side. No other keeers other than the little floral leather mount piece

Awesome finds, congratulations! Really like that cob.

Some real nice treasures and good to see they are from Maryland.

Without reading I said Hibernia :dontknow: Nice digs!!

Beautiful finds! Big congrats! :occasion14:

They changed the orientation of the Harp for Irish coins from James I onwards, so in theory its post-1603. However, even though I can see the crown above the harp, it's not like any known Irish coin I have seen. Picture the Obverse please?

Looks to be a counterfeit from from the Simian family. Here's an example.

Both coins are nice finds.
