Hi, I posted this lead in the treasure leads category, but nobody replied, so I am letting the Idahoans know because I can't figure out how to move it. It is about a cave In southern Idaho (North of Dubois) with Spanish armor, weapons, and chests.

Ok, the guy who told me this story personally knew the guy who found the cave. I have left out the information that the cave is near Spencer, Idaho. My question is could the Spanish have come up into Utah, up to the Bear river that goes into the Great salt lake, followed the Bear river north to the Portneuf, followed that river to the Snake, and mined whatever was in the chests (Treasure?) in the mountains near Spencer or southern Montana? Would the armor indicate that this is from the ancient Spanish, or did they wear armor in the 1800's?

Hey Loadroom, isn't your avatar the school house at Reynolds?

Do you have anymore info on this? I would be pretty interested in researching this some more.

Caves cave in. Unlikely I would dig a 10' hole, but wish my detector could 'see' that far down.
