Thanks, that is the story I'm referring too. Just wondering if there's any other information concerning this story out there. Any other clues or anyone having searched for this treasure. I do believe from information I have from back in the early 50s the gold/silver was not buried near the actual battle but does exist.

The story was re-told in the Cass County Democrat Missourian in November of 1964, but there wasn't any new information with it, just the same story from the 1800's retold.
