Haven't got to go out much in a while
My wife got me a f70 for christmas and only went twice at a new site but it only gave me to gold rings but nothing good so had a half day at work so hit a new field but it must have been hit hard only got one flat button. So headed to my first field I ever hunted where I've found close to 200 buttons but last few times nothing. Started swinging snd got a flat button then nothing for a hour so headed to part of the field where I found a Spanish silver and a gw cufflink. Soon as I got there I found a Spanish silver, can't read the date think 1770s. Then got a button signal, hoping for the other cuff I dug down and out came a two piece button. Got home and cleaned it up to see it was a virginia state seal. To bad it got damaged but still glad to ID it. Never found anything like that in this field. But it did give me my first civil war bullet a 69 cal like 10 years ago. Glad to get out and got some nice keepers. And my mom found me smother display case for my museum room I'm working on. HH!

finally had time to look at the backmark on the button. its a benedict and burnham , from what i read its one of the rare backmarks. do you all think it would be worth getting someone to try to get the bend out of it.
