Soveriegn GT or the Safari??? Help me decide..

I have been watching enjoying Treasure Net for a couple of years but have only posted one other time.. I need some input from you guys. I'm an avid relic hunter and coin shooter.. I have an older model Soveriegn which has served me well and a Tejon....I'm going to be selling the Tejon and buy either the Safari or the GT...Which is the best machine for the money? I do more Relic hunting then coin...So what do ya think?? Thanks for the info...Mike

Welcome to TNet.

This would be a tough call. I have a GT and have used the Safari for awhile. If you feel you need the screen the Safari is for you. Personally I can take a screen or leave it and go by the sound. I also like to hip mount my control box and Sunray probe. I am confident with my Sov GT, and this is a personal thing.

I have never used the Safari, but I do own 2 Sovereign GTs, and I love the Sovereign GT's performance. I am primarily a beach hunter and its a killer machine on the beach........

Thanks guys for your replies.. I too don't have to have the meter, niether of my machines have one now. If the GT handles like the Soveriegn XS that I have now then the extra money for the Safari doesn't seem worth it...Thanks again...

You will love the Sov GT Hunt by tone. If you get a chance get the 15" WOT DD
