Got this lot at an auction like usual. They're all signed by the artists. Most are Acoma with a few Zia and others. Some of the artists don't have any work for sale on eBay and others have prices all over the place. The artists are Carmel Lewis, Delores Lewis, Corrine Garcia, Teresita Galvan, Helen Gachupin (another one signed Gachupin no first name), Charlene Collateta, Tsigowanu, Lorencita Pino. One is also marked B.R. Acoma, but I haven't been able to figure out the actual name. I've seen several pieces also marked that way online, but the sellers didn't list the whole name either. I get that each piece is unique, but how would I go about pricing these? I can't find much to base prices on. Is this something that is better sold elsewhere than on eBay? Thanks

Couple things you might do. First, go on eBay and search under the completed listings. Some or all of these artists might be represented in pieces that have sold in the past -- not sure how far back eBay keeps its completed listings, but worth a look.

Also, run the name of the artist on Google and then select "Images" -- this may well bring up links to where works by the artist have been or are being sold.

Last but not least, you can also simply run a Google search on the artist's name, which may bring up not only information about the artist (tribe and etc.) but also may give an idea on what the artist's work sells for.

Good luck, there are some pretty pieces there!

I've tried that. The problem I'm running into is that not all the artists have work for sale. Some of them were even hard to google and find items made by them. I don't really work with art or pottery. Is this the kind of thing that I can just charge whatever and someone might buy it?

what if you checked out a gallery specializing in SW art? Say in Albuquerque or Santa Fe since Acoma is New Mexico. These seem like nice pieces, perhaps they could sell on consignment or tell you where to best sell them?

I'll try and contact a few and see what I can come up with.

Wow, I like the bear and lizard pots (I assume Acoma, it has the style), as well as the wedding vase bottom left. Nice pieces. I've been to Acoma a few times, a lot of history and a lot of beautiful art.
