I’ve found items dating anywhere from 1870-early 1900s on my parents’ property. It is located in Southern Arizona and has an old stone foundation and evidence of another structure on their land. These are the items I found today. One is a fork! 😝 Any idea on the others?

In your other thread I did not see the holes; maybe some sort of candle lantern cover.

Clean it up good, find a jar it fits, drop a candle in it and see if it stays on.

If it stays on, well that does not really mean squat other than you found another application for it.

That's pretty cool to have stuff like that on your parents property sounds fun. I also lived in AZ for a long time loved it, Hard to tell what those are I would guess furniture corner pieces. Also your profile pic if you pm a mod they can turn it straight for you took me a year before I had them fix mine lol. good luck on finding some good stuff.

Obviously I’m super new to this site/don’t come on often as I don’t get the opportunity to metal detect enough! I’m not sure how to message a mod. 😉

My parents both giggled at your idea and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do it.

I’m seeing a door plate, the round piece looks like a lantern top.Nice finds.

The item with the holes looks like something from a propane stove some type of burner a grate would have fit over the top of it.

The first items shown are using modern round head nails, so these date to post-1900.
They almost look to be decoration for a horse-drawn-wagon or something else utilitarian in nature. :icon_scratch:

I also see a door latch plate and the round metal piece with the holes does looks like it may have fit to the top of a lantern.

The first picture reminds me of a deconstructed pocket knife that someone tried to repair, I like the ladder sight theory and the lock bolt mortise. Good luck

Welcome M, interesting finds!

When I first looked at the round object my mind said "spoked hub", but I can't see any way to mount on a axle. I think Back of the boat's on the right track.

Happy holidays to you and yours!

First items also remind me of fallen off pocketknife parts.

Depending on size of course.
