I've seen the Savannah river on a trip to Savannah and it looks to be very large, large enough to deposit gold over large distance, and when you look at the geology the Savannah river has gold veins from the Dahlonega gold belt AND the Carolina gold-slate belt hovering over it, so logically there should be gold in the Savannah river,
BUT there is no historical mining on it, and by every rule of prospecting, gold can be found where it was found in the past, I don't think the old timers would overlook this big of a river
does anybody have any experience mining on the savannah river?
has anyone even brought up the idea and taken a test pan?
(oh, and heavy pans to everyone)
