Met JEBAR from North Carolina at the Lake Poinsett State Park a week ago. We got written permission from the DNR to metal detect the beaches in the park. We found a few clad coins, but my best find was this ladies Elgin watch about 5" down in the sand. It needs a new battery, but is in otherwise good condition. It has a small diamond at the 12 o'clock position. The watch is apparently one of a series of watches called the Elgin Diamond Collection. Some have diamonds at 12,3,6, & 9 on the dial. JEBAR found 3 $1 bills rolled up on the road as we were taking his golf cart between beaches.
