sundayhorseshoe.jpgSunday afternoon finds, ground still pretty frozen, always happy when I find usable tools :tongue3: Nothing that special, thought I had a musket ball but I think it is maybe a really old bullet from a .45 auto. Two hitch pins, a drift punch, allen wrench, large forged spike nail, and $.66 pocket spill most likely from a couple years ago when we set off fireworks where I found the coins. My favorite is the pony size horseshoe, feeling lucky :icon_thumright: Thanks for looking, hunt safe.

All good stuff. I like finding tools too and I have a special box for 'em. Surprisingly, I use a lot of 'em occasionally. HH:skullflag:

When I find tools that I can use in my trade I feel pretty good, a punch is not worth that much but sometimes I burn the temper out of them and have to run them back through heat treat to use on steel that is not red hot or for hard rock mining etc. So lots of punches is a good thing, actually though I was onto an old blacksmith site for a little bit, under a huge tree, forged nail then the punch and some other random iron/steel bits and pieces, exciting even for a few minutes though.
