New guy here, not sure what all I found but I feel like it is good. Went out last week to get some practice and learn how to operate my Equinox 600. Went to a site I have researched and found what appears to be the top of a South Carolina hat pin? Everything found at the same site within 100 yards.

Looks like it to me. You need to go back and pound that site for every repeatable signal!

As soon as I see pottery like that on the ground my brain starts doing a chicken dance:laughing7:
Oh and welcome to TNET!

GOOD pics!! Cool finds. Possible on the hat badge. Can you get a diameter on the balls?

A caliper is the best thing to have. Most of us here use inches when measuring old bullets.
Thanks! Would a digital caliper measuring tool work? I will measure them this evening.

Any decent hardware store will have calipers. Pin is intriguing.

I got my digital calipers from O'Reilly Auto Parts several years ago and they are still working fine. They come with an extra battery but I am still on the original one. About $20.00 if I remember correctly.

looks like some Annular Ware and Pearlware there in the mix. Should indicate a late 1700s to early 1800s site. I would keep sniffin around there.

Welcome nice group of finds there.

I would say both were probably pistol balls. the .33 could be from what was called a squirrel gun(rifle)
