This Scovill button was found at a Civil War hospital site. And suggestions on date? 1830s or 1840s?

[FONT=&quot]South Carolina button, state seal with palmetto tree, two part flat button, "J. M. L. & W. H. SCOVILL / (dot) WATERBURY (dot) / EXTRA SUPERFINE (dot) (star) (dot) (star) (dot) (star) (dot)" dm[/FONT][FONT=&quot], (22mm). Button depicts the seal of South Carolina, a palmetto tree over an oak log, symbolic of the Revolutionary War victory at Sullivans Island.This is flat two part button, manufacture 1830's. Backmark: "J. M. L. & W. H. SCOVILL / (dot) WATERBURY (dot) / EXTRA SUPERFINE (dot) (star) (dot) (star) (dot) (star) (dot)" dm between solid ring, no outer ring, flat back, Scovill manufacture 1830s, (Scovill.130).Two part flat button, coat size.
