South Carolina dredging & highbanking, may 29, 2011

Part 1, getting ready to bring the gear in. Had to cut the trail wider to fit the dredge cart, and saw some fallen trees out of the path plus clear thorns. This is just us unloading the gear and me showing off the 60$ high banker I built. My prospecting buddy brought his angus mckirk chameleon dredge, and we ran one of my custom long tom drop riffles behind it.

Part 2. A couple hours later we finally had everything at the spot and setup to go. Fired up the pump and everything was looking good.

Part 3 Me running the high banker some. I changed the spray bars configuration after that video when we shut down to cleanup. Also when this was filmed the filter on the pump was about clogged so the water volume was down. LAter on we changed the where the pump filter was and put another screen over it, and it ran much better and I had better volume of water like in the beginning.

Part 4, a quick pan of our last cleanup of the dredge, not pictured is most of the fines. Also not pictured is the high banker cleanups, but I had about half what he got here with a couple nice chunky pieces, but mostly fines.

I will get some better footage tomorrow, I took several more videos including some of my prospecting buddy dredging, but most of them didn't turn out good because of the lighting there. Today was mostly just get setup and clean some of the silt out of the creek to expose the bedrock. We just started getting down to the good layer when it was time to go home.

Looks pretty good for not getting the good stuff. Nice flicks...
