South American stone face carving

I bought this item at a garage sale, all I was told is that it was bought in Argentina...I need help fing out what it is, what kind of stone and if it is an ancient item.. The first and third images are our item, the middle one is an image of one that is being displayed at an Arizona Museum. The size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and 1 1/2 inch thick. Stone weighs about 3 lbs. light green and marbled white and smooth.

Welcome to T-Net Georgeb!

It reminds me of a talking statue "Olmec" from an old Nickelodeon TV show "Legends of the Hidden Temple". It was a head only, 8 feet tall, talking prop.

Yes and interesting piece! The piece appears more Colombian to me in origin and appears that it may have been carved out of Onyx.
