I went through my stash of 2024 pocket change. Found just a few odd/old ones to put aside. No silver or anything of value, just some -82's. Rolled up most at $55, going back into circulation next trip to the bank.

These old pennies had been bouncing around circulation a long time. That one was almost struck off center.

Take that money to a coin shop and treat yourself to some great coins, nice haul! Did you find many zinc pennys that were so corroded that they were half gone?

I like that idea. Yeah some of those zincolns look like they'd been in acid, some a ghostly sheetrock white, some shiny like new after 40 years. We should just drop the penny and quit wasting money producing them.
