On Sunday I also found this little fellow : a small metal soldier. Must have been on the beach for quite a while.

Have a look at him.

Looks like one of those Dementors from Harry Potter :o :o :o

This will kill you !

On the forum, here in Belgium, they think this kind of little fellow came out of an egg from KINDERSURPRISE !!!! Spoils my fun a bit, hahahaha....

Oh boy !

But those Kindersuprises were plastic, werent they??? ;)

That is what I thought, too. But it seems the eggs sometimes contain such an iron "soldier" !!!

This happens when one doesn't have kids or (why not, Bob...) grandchildren. I don't know what is "on the market", lol !!!

Sigh...

The way the head is shaped, it looks like the toy was fashioned after an old spanish conquestador (sp!?!?). You know the ones with the funky metal helmets.

Cleaned the little fellow with a tooth brush, this morning. Now I put it into a small film canister in OLIVE OIL for a few days/weeks (heard that was the thing to do).

After cleaning it, I thought it was a GLADIATOR ! Had a shield and some sword. But I didn't look TOO well, I must admit...

Be patient, you'll meet again, hahahaha !

Old chess piece perhaps?

Hey, that is good thinking ! And (old) chess piece would be nice, but my friends on the Belgian Forum think it is a silly thing from an Egg of Kindersurprise.

Does anyone know if putting this fellow in olive oil does help ?
