Sometimes you have to find the trash to find the treasures

I hit the woods today and was moving quickly. My intentions was to find areas filled with old trash. I was lucky to stumble on this area were I was getting huge hits. Old rusty cans. I slowed down to a crawl and covered an area of 50' by 50'. Probably an old camp site from 30's to the 50's. I pulled out 10 wheats, one Buffalo, and two mercs. Overall not a bad few hours. I like this method and it has produced well in the past. Only have about three hundred more acres to cover.

That is why I use a DD coil. I can pick between those trash signals without digging them up. Gotta love White's detectors!

WOW - looks like I may be pounding on some of my trashy areas a little harder this season.

Wow, looks like you found your self a good place to hunt for sometime to come. Congrats on the Merc's and Love the Buffalo nickel.

Oh by the way, we all dig trash, no matter what detector were using.
Some of those trashy items bring some pretty good money, like the 6 pound cannonball I found last year.
