Spent the afternoon literally smashing my way around a brush field.
Sometimes I would break out into the "open" which was either a path I had busted out last year or where a bear had done the same.

Every new square foot of undetected ground held promise.

Unfortunately gold wasn't in the cards today.

This was the only relic. Nothing special, but I rarely find these types of buckles intact.
Most surprising is the fact that it still pivots smoothly.

No wonder I have so many problems with coils.

im chompin at the bit to get out detecting. its been months....and now i have 2 weeks to relax.....yeah right. I know right where im going. A spot i found but didnt spend much time because i had know producing ground I was headed to... It is sobering how fast you can play out a location....But now I have hopes for a new haunt, and im planning my strategy. ive got my 11" dd set up because theres lots of obvious targets to sort through. once i find the gold, and i know its there, i will switch over to a mono and concentrate where the gold is.... at least that is my intent.

sometimes i feel like chuck norris...... bears use trails i made ....
