Something wrong with E-bay ??

Hello,

I was trying to change some prices on my auctions last night. It kept resetting and reloading the price over and over and I could never set the price I wanted.. Today I look at my listings and all the views have a -
instead of a view count ?? Anyone know what's going on here... Is it just me or are other people having problems ?

Yesterday I looked and had - showing for views on all my listings. It happens every once in a while for me.

I have been noticing a lot of errors and quirks lately. Every time I try to change one of the description items (enter your own), it keep defaulting back to something from the previous listing. I still cant get rid of it on one of my listings...

In the past few weeks, I've had ebay listings default to free shipping on some items.

One was an oil can. That one cost me $7. Another was a train accessory. Ouch. That one cost me $18. Double ouch.

Ebay quirks...I'm not happy. I would have kept the train accessory for what it sold for. The original listing was for $140 plus shipping, and when I relisted it, it reverted to $140 with free shipping.

I've noticed several glitches myself lately. Yesterday, I was searching for something and it kept showing me the completed listings instead of the ones currently for sale/auction. Then it was saying my watch list was full when I tried to watch an item. Meanwhile, I was able to click the "watch list is full" and save it to my list anyway.

I contacted eBay customer services about... OMG, the guy was clueless..! I told him my problem for the view counters he said no one looked at it yet... I said it had 10 viewers the day before ? I told him my pricing problem, he said you can't change prices once listed.. I changed the price as I was talking to him on the phone and he then changed a price. I asked to speak to someone else.. He said no one else can speak with you... I pleaded to speak to a supervisor, he said she'll call me in a few hours.. 2 day's later she never called... So well that tells me a lot about who they are employing and their customer service is horrible !!

I think they are only half capable of handling actual customer (buying and selling etc.) service problems. When it comes to actual website problems, I suspect they don't have a script to read off of for that, so they don't know what to tell you. lol

Yes i have had problems like that .. i just wait and it goes back to normal..I had one listing last month for $250.00 and went in later and it read $250,000.00 and then another that was for $60.00 and went back in and it was $60,000.00….. But i could change them back ..

Yep...got ebay problems here as well, seen Classified adds with bids pages taking ages to load, or not loading at all, messages not showing, I thought it was my computer.

Mine was while relisting. It would not accept my starting price, and kept rejecting a 5 day listing. So for every listing I had to go to the 2nd page and get the warning, and then go back to add the info.. In some cases it was so stubborn I just went with what it was saying, confirmed the listing, and then revised. I'm glad I didn't have too many to go on, but on a big night I would have been ready to punch my screen.

Curious what browsers you guys are using to see if it's related. If I use Google Chrome for my Ebay stuff when I relist an item the pictures disappear. If I sign into Ebay using Firefox everything works as it should. When I called Ebay customer service about it they told me their system sometimes dosn't like Google Chrome. I refuse to use Internet Exploder for anything.

Using Chrome here, I don't use IE either. Haven't downloaded Firefox onto this comp. yet, but now that you mention it...

Firefox here, and usually everything is pretty smooth. The glitch I described above was the worst I have encountered, at least in the last several years.

I have to upgrade. I'm using XP and I use both Chrome and IE. I installed a Zebra 2844 label printer and wasted about 40 labels trying to get it to print right with IE. Switched to Chrome and it was a breeze.

I've had a copy of Windows 7 for 3 years now, just never have installed it. I was going to the other day and it said it can't be used as an upgrade, I have to move all my programs and settings onto another drive. MS is the devil.

I'm using Windows 8.1. It takes a bit of getting used to when you've been using XP for the last 10 years or so.

Weirdest I've ever seen happened today. I was shipping a multiple purchase order, entered one of the item numbers to bring up the page, and then clicked order details to see the rest of the items. From there I clicked on each of those to see the date when sold... and my entire page is German! I did it two other times and the same thing happened. checked another order and it came up .com, and then went back to the previous order and all was normal again. No idea how that happened, wasn't a German listing, not a German buyer, but the page was exactly as if I had sold the items on Ebay Germany. How's that for strange.

I found one that is going to the Air Force Academy in Co. and it shows delivered. Last time this happened I didn't think much of it at the time. Then out of the blue the buyer opened a case on me one day into two day priority delivery. The solution if this happens to anyone is to take the tracking number and do the tracking on the USPS website. It will show you the correct tracking info. It is evidently a glitch on eBay tracking.

Not quite the same thing, but 2 items I shipped yesterday via FedEx weren't showing as picked up even this morning. I checked the tracking on FedEx's site and everything showed up as normal.

Ebay certainly is having all kinds of weird glitches lately.
