For those persons that have several detectors . When you have spare time , pull them all out , get a ruler , pen and a sheet of paper . Then get some coins , gold chain , silver ring , gold ring , titanium , platinum etc. Write columns for All metal ,Discrimination( See what happens when you discriminate iron ) , Notch ,Etc .. See what each of your detectors can do with these various targets , ( you get a signal , how deep , how weak) Also change coils and compare what the detectors do with a coil change . When you are done with the testing, the results sometimes are surprising. That detector that you had sitting in the dust may be better then you thought. Put the paper in your glove compartment so when you are out detecting it will be fresh in your mind how that particular detector will most likely react to a specific target . It a fun thing to do , and will probably get you more chains , platinum and gold . Good luck treasure hunting everyone..
