Something else to keep an eye out for!!

Meant to post this a few weeks back. I recently was in Goodwill and saw this sitting on the shelf for the low low price of $14.95.

For those that don't recognize this, it is a Bang & Olufson Beosound RX2 Turntable. Bang & Olufson makes some amazing high end audio equipment.
When I got home, I hooked it all up, and unfortunately, the system did not function properly. That's okay though, because the needle cartridge itself brought me a cool $169 by itself!

What did you do with the rest of the unit? I bought the same model before at an auction for $5.

Vintage stereo equipment is one of my weaknesses. I pick it up any time I can find it!

I have 4 stereos in my collection at this time. NOT ONE of them works properly, sadly. I am in the market now for a technician who can fix at least one of them.

Luckilly, my Sony LX 520 works great and it came from an estate sale @ $15. I put a new belt on it, lubed it up, and just ordered a new cartridge for it. I use it almost daily!

The majority of the rest if the unit is still here, parting out all the mechanical parts of it.

I agree, you just cannot beat a vintage sound system!!
