I think Ty might have made his way over to the plug when I went back to the truck ;D Never had one come out of the ground like this before :icon_scratch: wasn't even in the hole!! Funny thing is that we were hunting an old 1700's foundation where Ty had found(I think) an Irish Halfpenny before along with another earlier LC and Tombac's.It was still a pretty fun hunt even though we didn't come out with any coin's this time but there's alway's next time. Not much for today.....Part of a Crotal bell, suspender clip with some silver gilt, pewter handle piece's and an old axe and hatchet....Can anyone date the these?Alway's a fun day out....Thank's for looking and HH!!

Man that is strange! :tard: I bet your glad you did'nt find that as your first Eagle button or you would have been crushed! :D

What never ceases to amaze me is the fact that "CIVILMAN" Comes up
with Civil War items in the most obscure sites. Let me explain.
He once found a three ringer at a tot lot. He, then, wowed us with
a belt plate at a 1920's home nowhere near any knon battle or camp.
And now an Eagle Button at a site that, by way of family history, was
probably torn down BEFORE the Civil war.
PLEASE PEOPLE, Do NOT Encourage this guy!!!

That is a cool find! I honestly believe that the button was cut to create a hatpin, insignia, or souvenir.

Way cool. Eagle buttons are a dime a dozen, but this one is something special. :)
