I've read where Fisher has hidden secret setting in the F75. Now some of these we know already, like, disc below 5 or above 20, puts the F75 into a more sensitive mode. But the one I've read about is in all metal mode with the threshold set at either -2 or +7. If anyone in the world knows, please explain.

I saw where you had asked about this on another forum....... I sure hope you get a helpful answer. I bought an F75 just before the LTD was announced, and had been enjoying learning its use on finding relics. But, knee surgery has had me away from detecting for 6 weeks or so, and I've not been able to get back after it. Again, good luck on getting an answer that have you diggin deeper and better stuff.

Everyone wishes for a secret setting that gets the deep coins and no junk or makes the detector more stable in bad ground. This thing doesn't exist. If the detector is sensitive enough to for that it will also find bird shot.

A Gold BugII or a GMT will find bird shot.

I've found bird/squirrel shot with my Troy X-5...... will most often be embedded in some small limb, long broken off from the branch of a tree. I've chased these signals around as I rake the leaves and pine straw away with my foot from where I think I'm about to dig a small deep relic.

I have also found bird shot with the F75 using the 6" eliptical coil.
