I went back to the spot that I dug the Queen Mary token yesterday. Found Baby Hueys diaper pin, '19, '52 wheats and a mens wedding band stamped 18k. There was just a tiny bit of gold plating left on it, but washed off in the rinse cycle. :'(

For those of you who don't remember Baby Huey, enjoy!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Thanks for the cartoon, John!

That theme song is one of those wierd tunes that have been rattling around in my head since I was a kid. I could never place it. Now I know. The only problem is, how the heck do I get it out of there?!!! :tongue3:

That IS the mother of all diaper pins! Cool fake gold ring, too!

I'll bet there's more good stuff there...

Hey John, I've dug bands stamped 10k, 14k and 18k that were plated like that. Really ticks ya off when you give 'em the scrape and see that pot metal!

Baby Huey rocks!

Yep, China make tons of those fake rings..... Thats why when you buy one, make sure it has a well known makers mark. Look on ebay and you will see plenty of 14k, 18k, 22k, 24k rings being sold for $20, $30, $50 - ALL FAKES!!!!

You definitely kicked my butt yesterday! All I got was some junk metal, best piece was a locking gas cap with the key still in it bent over. Congrats!

LOL, I love the Baby Huey cartoon. He always reminded me of a former co-worker at my last job.

Thanks! And nice finds, too.

Joe

OMG. . . you could poke your eye out with that thing!
That's HUGE :o Glad to hear it didn't draw any blood.

Glad the rest of the diaper was not attached to the pin!
