Some yard sale sterling today

Decided to leave my area drive up to Sarasota to see if there’s anything worthwhile today. About 6 yard sale in asked for any jewelry. Girl said no but she had a box of silver plated stuff for $30. Looked at it... Wallace Sterling. 1000 grams plus some silver handles for $30!! Grand Baroque pieces!
There was a couple pieces of stainless too. And two large platters but they were plated.

That stinks. I’ve gone to Sarasota twice and gotten sterling flatware twice. There was so many yard sales out there today. 130 were on the map plus probably another 60 we went to that weren’t on there. I was still going to them at 3 o’clock in the afternoon driving home. The last yard sale of the day was that 3:35 my eldest daughter came with me and it was fun watching her sleep on the way home being completely exhausted from yard sales!!

One house we went to lady pulled a sterling necklace out and the the owner says oh that’s not supposed to be in here and took it away. She had a sterling bracelet sitting on the table and gave it to my daughter and said you pay for this. Didn’t have a problem getting that. $3 honey, it will look so pretty on you. First lady she pulled out a loop checked it all over. It was kind of crazy.

Also got some pocket watch chain pieces. The chain is gold filled but It had a fob which turns out to be a 10k gold wax stamp. Says all’s well. And then the swivel clasp test 10 K and It was free if I bought a brooch.... so I bought a brooch for a dollar....

It seems to come in waves. There will be a dry spell for months then something good. Technically don’t think I’ve been to the beach more than once in the last year.id rather just go to the pool.

This one I think was dumb luck. Ask for jewelry... no, but I have silver! Really? I said bars? No, silverware.
