Some unknowns from early 1900s / late 1800s

Any help with these would be great! These come from what I think is either a backfill or dump from early 1900s. The long thin iron thing is 11 inches. The ring feels too light to be a door knocker. Thanks for looking!

The small, bottle shaped, wire thing is from a lady’s garter belt; and was used to hold her nylons up. I’m interested to learn what the ring with the eyelet is.
