Thank you for taking the time to reply! I tried to stop your swinging saw long enough to look at the ends, but all I accomplished was getting dizzy! LOL I will look into it further! Thanks again!

I can't find anything on tools for hanging wood siding, would you know what they are called? Could it be a marking gage?

No it's a tool for hanging siding. Two were used I think. Google Stanley wood siding tool. It's not a Stanley but a different manufacturers version.

we always just called them a"preacher" Cant see how that tool would work as one.
