Thanks for your helpSo, I can read Arabic when it is in standard form but these letters are definitely in the calligraphic style. You are on the right track with assuming middle eastern. I was going to say not Arabic but on the second row, the first letter on the right (Arabic is read right to left) there is an unambiguously Arabic character. That said there seem to be some characters I don't recognize, making me wonder if this is not a variant language that uses Arabic characters.. like Urdu or something. Like I said though, calligraphic Arabic can look like a totally different language. That's why the underline on the first line confused me at first. Anyway, good luck.
