Some type of blade?

Found on a farm property.
Owner has historical records of the land going back to the 1800's

Does appear to be a blade of some type from a farm implement.

Is the top flat and the bottom edge sharp? Does the right side look like it was broken? It looks like a froe blade to me with the handle loop broke off.

One end is rounded, the other is flat.
Both of the long edges appear to have been sharp at one point.

That is what us old timers call a "ORPOG," or an "Old Rusted Piece Of Garbage." Doesn't really matter what it was in the past when it reaches this stage. If you find something really interesting or valuable - you'll know it.
