Literally and figuratively... Went MDing/exploring along a creek that has old dump-type backfill along the bank today with a new hunting buddy, he works in the area and earlier today found some old (but not pre-1900) bottles and a pair of rusty horseshoes. We trekked through the foliage and briar to find a few more intact bottles, two iron barrel bands, a kerosene lamp, plenty of plateware shards (that I collected), and the highlights of the day: a 1948 Roosevelt dime (me) and a 1946 wheat (him). Hopefully he'll post pics of his horseshoes, and here is my dime and the intact glass:

Today was one of the most fun filled 2 hour trash hunts I've ever been on. The coins were a sweet suprise along the creek especially! The west branch of the Neshaminnay hold alot of history and we have many treasures yet to find. Thanks for the guidance and pointers. Keep the faith, I feel there are horseshoes with your name on them just around the bend.

Who knew digging through trash could be so... fun? lol, I'm sure my first horseshoe will come, as will your first silver, and so on. Since you found me :) you should click the link in my signature for My Keepers Album, it's a photo gallery of my better finds since Christmas 2011, when I got my first MD (which was a Bounty Hunter!).

See you tomorrow!
