Some sort of 14k gold trim? Braclet or necklace piece? Jewlery box part?

I dug this piece of gold up yesterday with fellow hunter pl8man. I thought it was junk jewlery at first. At home it tested for 14k gold. It weighs 5.8 grams. the bar of metal across the top is hollow, but I still see the gold shine inside. There appears to be a section that broke off. I am thinking there was at least one more stone. It is also bent, probably from the lawn mower. There is a slight curve to the upper bar. Also one end of the upper bar is sealed , and the other broken, so its open. The details of the design etched into the gold look amazing. If anyone has any ideas as to what this is , that would be awsome.

The combination of the work and the jade leads me to believe it might be Asian...maybe something worn in the hair.

The style is Victorian and the type is called filigree. It looks to be part of choker necklace or it could be a hair comb. If you GOOGLE Victorian filigree you'll see hundreds of pieces similar to yours. Congratulations on a great find; especially with today's gold prices. :) Breezie
