Some Skirmish Lead and other Junk....

Hit one of the field's close by and came out with this....Not much but I'll take it.Mid 30's and partially snow covered corn field's.A few of the local's hit this field so there's not a whole lot left,gotta work for the good's now.This is some of the lead and stuff I ended up with today for a couple hour's...

A funny looking spike and what look's to an old handle ...I was hoping stirrup


Some of the lead out of the field....Might need an I.D. on a couple...A few .58's showed up looking good and there's the Gardner or Enfield??
This pistol bullet has me stumped also,base ring and one above it,might be a little more modern.Still can't seem to find it.....



I had fun,most likely won't get out tommorrow....Just needed a quick fix

Hi Civilman!

Nice work there. I'd take CW lead anyday--and in any condition. I think what you have there (the iron relic that you said might be a stirrup) is a handle from an iron cooking pot. I found one last month at a house site. Can't remember if I still have it or not, but I'll look. It was the same shape and size as the piece you're holding in the photo.

Nice CW relics Civil. That's some great lead. I'm glad you made it out. We're getting snow right now here in NC too.
I hate being cooped up, so I'll get out in the cold Sunday or Monday for a quick fix.

Yeah, looks like some slim pickins. But it is nice to get out this time of year. Nate and I just went to our local park yesterday for an hour "fix". It was cold - 29 and windy but it was nice to get out. We each found about a dozen or so coins with some real junk.
