Today was a great day. It's been a little over a week since I got my XP deus and I'm more than impressed in it's performance and adaptability to various conditions. I took it down to the beach today where storms are moving massive amounts of sand. The one place i've found that the deus Struggles is wet saltwater sand but I was still able to pull out some oldies including a very beat up 1867 Indian. The walker was sitting on a pice of Iron when i unearthed it. All in all, this was one of hunts i've had. The new detector is nice but hunting earlier this week with a seasoned metal detector and true treasure hunter was a priceless experience and gave me a great perspective on beach hunting. For that I am very grateful.

XP Deus was not created to behave well in salt water beach. For a salt water beach you need a multi frequency machine. XP Deus runs on one frequency that you select, so you brought a knife to a gunfight so to speak. Where XP Deus kills the rest of the machines on the market is iron separation; ask your friend for a location he has KILLED with a 3030 and then set your machine to program FAST. Show him the finds you dig up and watch those tears roll. It is a breathtaking sight, been there, done that.

Congrats on pulling your oldest coin. Thanks for the comments concerning the DEUS, but most of us know that in order to hunt in salt water and wet sand successfully you need a dedicated water detector. The Deus will serve you right when land hunting.

What a great opportunity to hit a beach after a storm that has come through and moved around some sand. You know your going to find something good! That beach silver is always unique in color. Nice finds!
