I went out solo on Saturday for a little walk around a park-like site. I got a lot of trash and assorted nonsense, which I won’t show you.
Here is the hand full of coins that made it into the pouch.
Here are the 10 wheaties, funky lion cuff link, flower pin and “toy” hammer head. In the modern world no parent would give their child a little metal hammer. Think about it, there is nothing good that could possibly come from this toy. I miss the good old days...
As soon as I saw this I recognized it, as I’ve found one before. It’s a butterfly clutch, the back to a WW2 medal. I have two clutches, zero medals, dang.
When this target popped out, I thought it was junk, but it had that silver look to it.
A bit of cleaning revealed a nice little Vancouver charm.
Both pieces are marked Sterling!
I got tired of digging Sterling, so I switched the Deus from 925 to 900, and went looking for a silver coin. Sure enough...
When I opened this hole, shiny George greeted me.
Scoring three silvers really made for a nice day.
YTD silver coins: 54
YTD 925: 18
Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.
