Smart Tracker XR8 gift from dad as a kid, 1983?
Garrett Master Hunter CX/12" high energy hothead. R.I.P (1991-2013)
Some of my silver. A WWI medal, Hoover/Curtis presidential pin, and other little things to fill my wooden treasure box.
Oddly the majority of this Silver came from Putnam Park in CT,,,you know that Park that is illegal to search in:)
Well let me finish,,,,this was all dug 15-20 years ago, WAY before the state took the park over and put it on the NO MD'ing list.
There was plenty of buttons and musket balls found as well, but I decided to donate them to the resident historian, slash science teacher in the town, since his class was conducting an archaeological dig inside that park, and he belonged to the historical society. I hope over these years people have been seeing and enjoying the history. I do have another spot related to this place that is not off bounds. its a large area, so I need to work it for a month or so and then ill report back. There is another encampment about a mile from my house and it too had nearly 5,000 men camped there for 2 months.. History books are vague but I have almost half square mile to work with on public access land based on the limited info, this is where it is fun,,,,just scouting for clues... I'm going to be busy for the next year:) Oddly I also found a larger musket ball, it was .75 or about, and it was in another very popular park, and the ranger said he had no knowledge of revolutionary war activity on that land.. Hey the Tories marched right through, Washington in hot pursuit, I'm pretty sure natural areas, lakes, waterfalls, and riverbanks all had to be areas they stopped at. Eventually I will stumble upon something big,,,I hope..

Nice stash there. I find that owning awesome pieces of history is just awesome. Why read or see pictures when you can own certain items yourself :)
