So I had to make this mornings hunt short. I have classes and howework due all week, which is 3rd in my list of priorities (first being the gal, 2nd being metal detecting-although priority 1 and 2 often clash ). So I went to class and then went to the U of L library and on the way home I seen a nice spot I wanted to hunt. I seen it from the interstate so it took me about 25 minutes to find the right road that led there. I asked the guy who owned the property and he said "go ahead son, I hope you find gold". Well, I DIDN"T, thanks. But I did find silver. I found a few wheats, a bit of trash (hardly any), a mercury dime (my first signal ), 2 nickels in one hold-a buffalo (no date) and a 1948. I asked him if I could come back another day when I had more time to spend detecting and he said "sure, just knock and let me know". I love old people, they usually never say no. Oh yeah, I also got a tiny silver ring, my 2nd this year.
