So I had to make this mornings hunt short. I have classes and howework due all week, which is 3rd in my list of priorities (first being the gal, 2nd being metal detecting-although priority 1 and 2 often clash ;D). So I went to class and then went to the U of L library and on the way home I seen a nice spot I wanted to hunt. I seen it from the interstate so it took me about 25 minutes to find the right road that led there. I asked the guy who owned the property and he said "go ahead son, I hope you find gold". Well, I DIDN"T, thanks. But I did find silver. I found a few wheats, a bit of trash (hardly any), a mercury dime (my first signal ;)), 2 nickels in one hold-a buffalo (no date) and a 1948. I asked him if I could come back another day when I had more time to spend detecting and he said "sure, just knock and let me know". I love old people, they usually never say no. Oh yeah, I also got a tiny silver ring, my 2nd this year.

Kevo,
Great finds! I bet you're glad you stopped now.
Congrats,
MM

Nice finds.
Your honey lets you clean up in the bathtub? You don't know how lucky you are.
I have a trough out back.....year round. LOL.....truth.

haha...too funny. We have an agreement. I clean where I want and she keeps what she wants lol...shes still waiting on a 10 karat rock to be found.

Nice recoveries !! By the way I have yet to have a g/f that was enthuisiastic about my digging hobby. Every time I wanted to go digging my last g/f would come up with another lame reason for me not to. Needless to say I ditched her like a pocket full of pull-tabs.My present g/f is a keeper and doesn;t mess with my digging so I think I;m gonna put a ring on her finger.Like pa says " strike while the iron is hot". God Bless and HH...Panz

Nice! You have a good spot..keep checking that place there's bound to be more there.

Nat

Great finds there, good choice of selection where to hunt, good luck your 2nd hunt, hopefully there is something left, tg

haha...I never said she was enthusiastic. Most of my digging time involves me going while she is doing her clinics at University of Louisville hospital.

Nice Louisville streetcar token.

Regards,

Buckleboy
