Some morning points and maybe a pretty scraper?

I got out this morning to one of my favorite fields along the Shenandoah River. I had a good few hours before being run off the field by a lime truck. In a few days they will be seeding for sod, so I won't be back on that field until next year. Too bad......It's been a good one. Please let me know if anyone thinks that is a scraper. It appears to have been worked into a very sharp serrated edge, but most of my finds that I thought were tools turned out to be just rocks. Any input would be appreciated. Best to all......be safe.

It sure has a good look to it and it appears to have been worked to put that sharp edge on it but it's a tough call from the pics. That material looks like novaculite with the color, texture and the way those hinges look but I'm not 100% sure. We're both a good ways from it's source (Arkansas/Oklahoma) but I find a piece or two on occasion down here. Also looks like you found a Levanna/Yadkin/Madison base. I can rarely determine the difference if ever!

Thanks for the feedback, Tdog, and also for the material ID as well. Hopefully we can figure this one out. I will try to get some better pics posted. So...last week in the same area I found another Yadkin type......its top right in the attached pic. The point is a little weird.......sort of stepped a bit, and its a little smaller than the one I found this morning. I guess no two are ever exactly alike. Thanks again for getting back to me.

Looks like it could be a tooth from a long extinct critter. I would take it to a zoo and see what comes out.

Yeah, it's stepped. I'm thinking it's a little gouge or drill. Pitch a coin in there next time for size ref. Nice finds--->>>
