Some Kind Of Reed?

Hi all,

Dug this in a very old house yard this morning...7 inches long and weighs 3 ounces. Kind of looks like a harmonica reed but it's thicker and heavier. Any help appreciated.

Looks like a harmonica reed to me. Only difference is yours is tapered and ones I have dug are rectangular.

I wanted to not even post because that's what I thought it was, but I have never seen one this big or heavy.

This is modern, but perhaps that was a harmonica built using similar ideas
